For the record, my rating is for this particular graphic novel adaptation, not A Wrinkle in Time as a story, which I loved. I felt like some parts could have been better translated to the format.
Beautiful rendition of a classic from my childhood. Read it before adding to my school library and I can't wait for the day when a child comes to me after reading the story.
A graphic novel like this is a great way to help someone visualize and enjoy this science fiction classic a bit more. I really recommend this to any readers that tried the book but gave up!

I wasn't nuts about A Wrinkle in Time when I read it, but I wanted to give this adaptation a shot and I'm glad I did. I'm not sure why, but it was easier to understand the story through this version and Meg didn't seem nearly as whiny and helpless as she did in the original. Hope Larsen's art was really well suited to the story and characters. It made me want to go back and reread the written novel with this fresh perspective.
Lectura terriblemente confusa para el público juvenil. Me preocupa además el contenido religioso y el mensaje un tanto extraño sobre el amor que contiene.
So pretty! The art work was true to the novel, although I still prefer the novel format. A fun way to introduce my 5 year old to the book though.
OK, maybe it's not fair that I picked this up rather than the prose version. In my going back to classic children's lit I had never read the original when growing up and I generally like Hope Larson's style. The book was a trite disappointment. The metaphor of Christianity vs communism, of Love overcoming the evil powers of enforced conformity, are so incredibly heavy handed that it's impossible to take the thing seriously as anything other than cold war propaganda.
Maybe L'Engle's prose is brilliant and I missed with with the graphic novel but if I want Christian SF I'll happily read CS Lewis before exposing myself to more of this tripe.

I read the book a while back. Watched the movie when it came out. Didn't like either, so I tried the graphic novel. Still not my thing. Interesting ideas with lackluster story telling.
And I hate Charles Wallace.
