It's was a reread. A reread I really needed to cope with things and it just did the job justice. This is really a world I can just lose myself into and I'm appreciating it even more.

The way no one has ever made me this happy while reading this. It just gives such comfort and you just want dive inside the book and live at Hogwarts.

Regal theaters is showing all the Harry Potter movies and I got so excited I decided to reread all the books. I haven’t read them in about ten years. I still find them clever, funny, charming, and surprising.

It feels a bit funny to know the Harry Potter world and people so intimately and yet to be back at the very beginning before none of us knew how spectacular the whole thing was. I love seeing the way the friendship develops between Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Hagrid, and the way Harry grows from an abused child to someone happy and self-confident.

I still love these books and always will.

Ending the year on a good note by finishing Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, which I reread with my bestie Ofélia. I gave it a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 rating the first time I read it and being back at Hogwarts still feels equally magical as the first time I entered this world. Fun fact: it wasn’t until my time at uni that I finally got to read the books and watch the films, since my mum didn’t let me as a kid because she thought Dobby (of all magical beings!) would haunt me in my sleep. 🧚‍♂️

I’d forgotten how fun these books are to read, how funny Dumbledore and Ron are, and I appreciated the brave Neville Longbottom even more this time. Bless his pure soul! I wish I could give him a big hug. 🐸
