Well, I finished this classic in a single sitting, and I am not ashamed to admit that I believe I do not fully grasp the deep messages in this tale, yet it deserves nothing less than 5 stars.
I'm not very old, in fact I'm not old at all but quite young, but reading through this book gave me a nostalgia for a simpler time when I was still a child, when I was like the Little Prince who found grownups very strange, who could see a sheep inside a box if he were told that there was a sheep inside the box, who was unbothered by figures and things of consequence and cared for the flower on his little planet and so on and so forth.
Follow your childhood passions, build and cherish relationships, and remember it is the time that they take to build that gives them value, do not be so lost in counting and claiming the stars that you forget to appreciate their beauty (as the book puts it), these are the things that I took away from this little book. Reading through this was truly a magical, fantastical and nostalgic experience, and the ending was especially beautiful and heart-wrenching. I wonder as I conclude this review that if this book is so moving when I'm so young, how moving would it be when I would be older?

I really enjoyed this book. I had to read it in french for my french class, so I haven't read it in english. It's such a cute charming tale with many important messages and lessons that are shared throughout.

Buku ini tentang perjalanan Pangeran Cilik dari planet kecilnya ke berbagai planet hingga sampai ke Bumi. Serta apa saja yang Pangeran Cilik temui.
Aku rasa, aku ga bisa bikin review atas buku ini. Karena ya, otakku ga nyampe. Jadi aku mau cerita aja tentang perasaanku selama baca buku ini.
Ini termasuk buku yang sering BANGET dibahas, baik oleh bookish atau bahkan sama artis artis. Sejujurnya, aku pun tertarik baca ini awalnya karena @kh1000le, buku ini nongol di, "what's in my bag" dan gajah! The way chenle gambar gajah, pasti yang digambar adalah gajah di dalam sanca.
Jadi, ya setelah selalu tersingkir dari list tbr, akhirnya kebaca juga setelah ada reading challenge.
Well, gimana bilangnya. Ini buku anak anak yang dipersembahkan untuk orang dewasa, karena orang dewasa bisa memahami segalanya. Tapi, aku paham makna makna yang disampaikan, tapi disatu sisi aku gapaham.

I can see, references from each planet and its people. But somehow, aku juga ga paham sosok Pangeran Cilik itu sendiri. Who is he? Dia ngapain dan HOW?! I still don't get it.
Entah apakah terjemahannya yang agak sulit aku cerna, atau memang otak aku enggak santai.
Tapi so much fun baca ini. Meski rasanya aku harus baca pelan, memahami kalimat demi kalimat. Tapi setelah selesai kek dapet perasaan yang baru, aneh, tapi hangat dan menyenangkan.
Lagi, ilustrasinya cakep dan lucu juga.
Emang pantes sih ini buku diterjemahkan ke banyak bahasa dan sangat hype karena isinya keren. Tipis tapi berbobot
