"On ne voit bien le coeur l'essential est invisible pour les yeux."

Although I read this for French class, I enjoyed the concept in the end. Tres tres TRES magnifique!

How have i not read this before now? This magical story of a little prince gives us the meaning of life through playful imaginative settings. The two characters that resonated the most with me were the businessman tracking mundane life occurrences and counting stars all day and the lamplighter turning the light on/off every few seconds on a 3-step-circumference world. What an incredible way to show how we get stuck in certain ways of thinking. I loved this entire book from beginning to end and will make it a point to read it annually!

Ok I get why everyone was obsessed with this book as children

I really don't know what to make of this book. I've never read it before, so I wasn't captured by any sort of nostalgia. The themes and morals were quaint and sweet, but ones reinforced throughout my childhood enough to prevent them from being truly groundbreaking now. I wonder how a child would interpret the story after reading it for the first time, so I'll leave this book lying around, and maybe one day I'll find out.

I’ve just finished reading this sweet little book - the favorite book of my favorite actor, James Dean.
At age 25, I foolishly didn’t expect this book to affect me so deeply. Yet, it borrowed so deep in my heart that I know I’ll never be the same - and thank God for that.

Honestly, I didn’t expect the ending to be like that. In my mind, this was supposed to be a children’s book. But after reading it, I have to ask—is it really just a children’s book?

I’m still not sure what to make of the story. It’s raw and emotionally overwhelming. It’s definitely sad, but there’s so much more woven into it—grief, wonder, love, and loss. I didn’t realize how much of my own innocence I had lost until I reached the final page. It hit me like a quiet shock.

I know one thing for certain: I’ll be rereading this in the future, slowly, and dissecting my feelings chapter by chapter.

My favorite quote from the book:
"It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."
