I just finished reading an eARC of The Reappearance of Rachel Price by Holly Jackson provided by netgalley.

Bel Price's mom Rachel went missing 16 years aho, a fact that has hung over her family for as long as she can remember. When her dad agrees to participate in a new documentary about the case, Bel reluctantly participates. Her dad was tried and ultimately found innocent of her mom's murder, and this is the family's chance to tell their side of the story. That is, until Bel runs into Rachel Price on the side of the road. Rachel has her own version of events, and Bel doesn't know what the truth is.

WOW, Holly Jackson has done it again, what a fun and wild ride. I could not put this book down. Bel is such a great protagonist, jaded, cynical, and isolated. As she works to unravel her own trauma, she is working to figure out who in her family is lying to her. The twists, while perfectly setup, were still surprising, and it isn't until the final moments when we get all the information and everything comes together.
Aside from the central mystery, it's also a deep dive into family dynamics, and who deserves loyalty. It also examines what real justice looks like, and what that means to each character.

This book had me hooked right from the start. The mystery around Rachel’s disappearance and then her sudden reappearance was so intense. I kept wanting to know what really happened. Holly Jackson did a great job building up the suspense, but some parts felt a little dragged out. Still, the twists were solid and the ending definitely surprised me. A good, addictive read if you’re into family drama mixed with mystery.

I enjoyed this book, but it might be my least favorite by Holly Jackson. I was totally on board until suddenly I wasn't? And once I fell off the train I kind just got dragged along to the end. That's really unlike most of her other books.

Entertaining, fast paced, plot heavy! The main character was so infuriating and kept jumping to conclusions, and the whole disappearance & ending was not believable at all
