je voulais aimer ce livre, vraiment, mais le personnage principal était atroce. je n’ai pas du tout accroché à son caractère et à sa façon de voir les choses, de traiter les autres, donc je n’avais que très peu de plaisir en avançant dans ma lecture. c’est vraiment dommage parce que j’avais adoré a good girl’s guide de la même autrice…

This was a little weird and underdeveloped. It was an intriguing mystery, but I didn’t really care for any of their characters. I found that when it came to their emotions and what they were thinking, the writing was relying heavily on exposition and TELLING me rather than SHOWING me. And not that I’m a legal expert by any means, but I really don’t think that the “reappearance” part was accurate, and neither were any of the character reactions. It just wasn’t believable. And the twist? Maybe too much? The climax was like 100 pages. Meh.
