I fear I’m not smart enough to fully appreciate this :(

como é que pode a anne carson sempre começar tão bem mas nunca conseguir terminar um livro na hora certa?

"Zach, what have you been reading lately?"

Can either answer:

* A poetry book about a boy monster with red wings growing up with a brother, a mother, a babysitter, and visiting Heracles for the weekend before spending time in Argentina but then...

or

* Ah, stuff.

There really is no middle ground.

One comment that kept coming up in my head though (spoilerish)
SpoilerI'd rather light myself on fire than go on a little trip with an ex and their new squeeze. The heck are you thinking, Geryon.

Simply one of the most beautiful works I have ever read. The style really lends itself to the way our memories are incompelete snapshots, the longing we are left with from days gone by, what we did not express. Carson's use of negative space leads the reader's own heart to fill in the gaps

Kan man gi fem stjerner til en bok man ikke fullt ut forstår? Ja.
