This installment of Lady Sherlock totally lost me for a while. Admittedly this was partially my fault, since I started it, then started (or finished) a few other books while still reading it here and there. But the stakes in the novel felt off-balance. We know Charlotte and Co. are not going to be killed by Moriarty and his henchmen, so the fear for their lives as they try to uncover the condition of Moriarty's daughter rings hollow. Much of the book felt like distraction until the actual plot developments in the last few chapters. That said! The characters were as fun as ever, especially Charlotte and Lord Ingram's unfolding romance.

My timing is excellent: I finished book 6 the same week that book 7 was published! Sadly the library holds are 3 months long. I should have jumped on the hold list sooner, as I will have inevitably forgotten all the complex plotting once the book finally hits my account....

I love the development of these characters, especially Ash.

Not my favorite, but still good. The pace was slower than her previous ones.

I really enjoyed the newest installment in the Lady Sherlock series. Thank you to Berkley Publishing Group for the review copy.

This series continues to delight and entertain, as Mrs. Watson and Lord Ingram help Charlotte with her latest assignment -- which comes from Moriarty himself. Is it a trap? I'd love to talk about the conclusion, which was very satisfying, but don't want to include spoilers.

Miss Moriarty, I Presume? is the sixth installment of the Lady Sherlock series. It's a little bittersweet right now because I have to sit and wait for the next book to be written. I've enjoyed this series way more than I originally thought I would. I wasn't expecting to fly through all six books by now and I'm equally impressed and scared for myself.

That being said, I enjoyed watching the mystery unfold and the clues come together in this one. Mostly because the gang is just so good at making the pieces turn into a much bigger picture. There does seem to be a trend though and I'm kind of disappoint in myself for just noticing. First, we get some very obvious clues that point us to a certain suspect. Of course, I always choose to ignore those because of how it looks.

So, I mentally try to prepare myself to be suspicious of every other new character we meet. Everyone is a suspect until Charlotte figures it all out. Or if I eventually figure it all out myself (it never happens though). It was pretty interesting to see certain characters already knowing the alias of another but then playing it cool. Or rather trying to play it. At one point, I was a little confused with how quickly the scenery changed but I think that was the main point. Questions and conversations were floating around in order to distract the characters and myself.

Towards the end, I was very intrigued to see what was going to happen next. Would revenge be planned? Would more secrets come out to play? Oh, and would Ash ever tell his kids about his feelings for Charlotte? Seriously, things needed to happen!

Overall, I really enjoyed each and every page that came my way. I'm super excited for the next one and hope they can all fool Mr. Moriarty!
