My first book by this author, and I started strong.
Again with the foster system, and again with a football coach. MUCH STRONGER foster system experiences here.
"Life rolled on. You either rolled with it or let it flatten you as it rolled by."
Over and over with the house names and how Shane is Bea's "best friend."
Reminded me of Susan Mallery's Fool's Gold series and Robyn Carr's Thunder Point series.

I am a RaeAnne Thayne fan, but I am even more of a fan of her stand alone books. With a little less romance and more plot and characters, her stand alone books are just top notch.
At a young age two sisters - Daisy and Beatriz, lost their mom to drug use and after a stint in foster homes their young aunt took them in and raised them. Through bringing them in she made some major life choices and did a lot to put them first. Now as adults they are all living around each other and this book takes a snapshot of a few moments in their current life and at the same time tells the story of how these three women ended up where they are now.

This is a great read if you want a book with a lot of emotions and heart. Also, you'll know how it ends when you're 50 pages in but that's also the beauty with a book like this. You know what you get.

So far, I much prefer the Hope Crossing novels. This was a great read but I found it hard to keep my attention as much when following so many different stories. Overall, I did enjoy it though.

I'm on the search for a great romance read this summer and so I'm branching out into some new-to-me authors.
Sadly, this novel was just okay. The writing was okay, the plot was okay, the characters were okay. So my search for greatness continues.

I enjoyed this one. I loved the sister relationships and how this was really about family.
