When Abbie arrives at St.Monarchs academy to train and learn about the crime world as is her responsibility as a mafia princess, she becomes determined to get underneath her training instructor Nikolai. Nikolai is cousin to the head of the bratva and runs the blood diamond business for the bratva. Nikolai likes his life the way it is, organized, uncomplicated, he lives for his work and his family, what he doesn’t have time for is a woman that is 18 years his junior. What he doesn’t count on is the connection they develop and his feelings that grow stronger each day.
When Abbie experiences the worst trauma she can image, Nikolai is there to help her heal and bring her back to life.

Loved this book! There is just something about a bad ass mafia man who lives his woman. The protector that lives within him is top tier. Abbie is one of the strongest women I have read about lately, loved her growth and her personal development.

I know this books says standalone but I feel like you would miss too much by doing that, this book really overlaps and continues on from book 1 and the beginning of abbie and Nikolais relationship is a little rushed so that we can get to the point were the last book finishes. This was still a good read. I would definitely suggest book 1 should be read first.
between 50-80% really slowed down to a crawl for me. Wrapped up nicely.

This was the worst book I could have read while sick. I cannot believe that there was no progress to Abigail’s healing at all, just patched up by Nikolai’s love. Also… insta-love is real still sucks.

This book contains descriptive R scene

Loved this book soo much, Abigail was amazing, so was Nikolai, but Abigail ♥️ now added to my list of favourite fmc’s.

Loooots of dirty talk and fun banter I just had to highlight this sentence lmao

When I thrust inside her again, the imprint of my cock actually shows beneath her skin. I fucking reach all the way to her belly button.

Dark Spicy Mafia Romance

I’ve been really looking forward to Nikolai and Abbie’s story and Michelle did not disappoint. I feel like Abbie’s story was way darker than Aurora’s, so definitely check out the trigger warnings, but Michelle did such a good job handling some very sensitive scenes. My only complaint is that I want more of their story, it was so freaking good.

If you’re looking for a good spicy, dark mafia romance then I highly recommend. The plot is on point and it is spicy spicy spicy. Can’t wait for the next book!

When we met Nikolai and Abby in the first book of the series, I was really excited about their story.
While I understand that the author wanted the focus to be on Abby and her overcoming trauma, which is brilliantly done, the relationship between her and Nikolai in the end just isn't convincing. At least to me. In the end, everything seems kind of rushed.
