What can I say, I love a good Grumpy/Sunshine romance. Make it part of an interconnected series in a small-town at Christmas and I couldn't be happier. This whole series has been pretty amazing and I've looked forward to a new addition each year. I'd love to see more happy endings for the crew of Mistletoe, Idaho outside of the Winter's family (I'm looking at you Pike!).

Was Declan a little too mean and grumpy? Yes. Was Holly a little too cheerful and pushy? Yes. Did I love the two of them together? You bet!! Will I be reading this series for Christmases to come? Absolutely.

Holly Winters has always loved Christmas - with a name like that and a life spent in a town called Mistletoe, it was a given. She even owns a holiday store; unfortunately, it's next to Mistletoe Hardware and it's owner, grumpy holiday-hater Declan Gallagher. Holly and Declan clash over his aversion to Christmas music, which escalates to a prank war that leads them to start spending more time together. As they get to know each other better, they both realize there is more than meets the eye.

I liked this one! It was definitely a slow burn, and I wish we got more time of Declan and Holly actually together in a romantic way. I did enjoy the banter and pranks between them, it's always fun when there is a little edge that we see turn to more. I'm glad that Declan was able to work through his issues with his parents and let go of the resentment he had been harboring towards them. I loved seeing him finally embrace joy and his life with Holly.

Cute but I feel like it has too many tropes and didn’t feel like a continuous story

This one is cute but not as good as the other two.
I was very curious to read more about Holly but it was just okay story.

Now, can the next book be about Sam?

A fun story that left me smiling and wanting to return to Mistletoe. This is book 3 in the series and the only one I have read. I enjoyed it without having read the other books, but now I need to read them!

Holly Winters loves Christmas and can't imagine that anyone wouldn't love it too. She owns a holiday shop and her Christmas music drives Declan in the hardware store that shares a wall with the holiday store absolutely nuts! Everything about Christmas and Holly makes him nuts and he is not afraid to let Holly know his feelings. Holly likes everyone, except Declan, he gets under her skin and she isn't afraid to stand up to him. Holly starts a prank war with Declan that quickly escalates. But along with the pranks comes more time together and the more time together the more they learn about each other.. What happens when they stop bickering and start talking?

A story of family and friendship and not being afraid to be your true self.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an arc for my honest review.

I didn't love this as much as the other books in the series but I loved returning to Mistletoe. I really enjoyed getting to know more about Holly outside of her "Adventure Elf" persona.

Spice: 2.5/5 - It’s got mild descriptions but perfect for anyone who wants a warm and fuzzy rom com with a sprinkle of spice.

This one was a fun third installment to the mistletoe romance series. The first half was more upbeat with the prank wars and the second half focused more on the character’s and relationship development.

I understand how some people wouldn’t like the guy narrator but honestly I just took a few chapters to get used to it and it wasn’t that bad. The voice is very “commercial” but coming from having Siri reading ebooks, it’s still pretty decent. He’s not my ideal voice for a grinch-type character but that’s a personal preference.

The world/town of Mistletoe felt smaller in this book despite the one scene where a ton of villagers come to help with Holly's decorations.

I loved the prank wars! I wanted it to last longer and to escalate but the deal shut that part done pretty quickly. The second half was a little harder for me to get through but was filled with sweet moments.

Holly is an influencer and I wanted to see a little more of that. We also got this whole thing of how it's dangerous for her to put herself out there so I was expecting her to get a stalker or have one of her followers show up but we didn't get any of that. Her old man neighbor also ended up being kind of harmless when it felt like they were building up to something there.

This one had less of the Winter Family so I was a little sad about that.

Noel proposed to Nick! Omg, I love that she was the one to do it. It makes a lot of sense for their relationship!

I'm not exactly sure what the issue was here, but I was just really not into it and I got bored very easily while listening to this one.

This book is good, but would be better if it was 60-100 pages shorter. Overall, the plot points were really good, but I wanted more pranks and less will-they-or-won’t-they that made up the entire middle of the book. They beginning was really hard to follow because it introduced so many characters at once and I didn’t realize it was the third book in a series. That being stated, I don’t think I’ll go back and read the first two books. There is just a little too much cheesiness, the end wrapped up really quickly, and even though the characters had chemistry, there was minor miscommunication going on for 100ish pages! There was also one scene where it quickly mentions Holly once hooked up with a female bartender and the way it was randomly thrown in made it feel forced and just added for LGTB+ purposes since no other characters had any diversity. Overall, it’s a fine, cliche Christmas rom-com (that also basically skipped all of Christmas Eve and Christmas). 3.25⭐️, 2🌶
