I feel like i’ve gotten more world building and plot out of a few chapters of other books than this entire 400 page nothingness? i’ll keep going to see if this series redeems itself but not a great start
Severe Trigger Warning! This book is so abusive! It's ever so slightly similar to ACOTAR...blonde jerk who treats her like crap and a handsome Shadow man saves her but there is just so much more abuse it wasn't needed. And every time I was like man this is awful it just got worse. Hoping the other books get better.

This was better than I expected. The world is set up in a way to keep you interested, and it's fast-paced. I read it in a day
Audiobook warning so I may have missed something.
This book wasn’t very impressive, the FMC is an incredibly passive character to her own story, to the point where I don’t actually remember her name which seems like a pretty big miss for the author. It’s actually really frustrating how unimpressive she is, here’s my general prediction and if I get around to the second book I’ll be even more upset to find out if this is true: Midas has no real powers and it’s only her that can turn things into gold. Girl wtf are you doing if that’s the case????
Turns out the second book isn’t on Spotify as an audiobook so I’m not really sure if I’ll bother with the next one.
