I'm thoroughly enjoying this series. Smarts, sass and swoon around an all-female pirate crew. What is not to enjoy?!

I LOVE the representation of all types of women in these comics. It really digs at intersectional issues. 8D

Not quite as good as the first, but I still really enjoyed it. I love all the characters, just wish it had as much humor as the first volume.

The scene toward the end where Katie fights the alligator and lifts the grate for Sunshine is worth at least four stars all on its own, though. That was pretty damn sexy.liszante's review against another edition

Much better than volume 1. The first issue in the volume was a bit cringe-y like volume 1, but the rest was very solid with just a few off moments. This kickstarted the plot by . What I liked best about this volume, though, is the time it took to develop the secondary characters. I will likely read more.

Contemporary alternative and nerd girls on a pirate fantasy adventure!
This one gets really real, girls don't always win.

Second book is great. The cast of characters are established and the stakes are high. If you’ve read the first book and thought it was a touch too slow for you, give this one a try. It picks up significantly.

I am a bit disappointed because the art of this volume 2 changed from the one used in volume 1!
As i like to have nice art when i am reading graphic novels, this is a huge negative point. Mostly because the first one had other style which i liked better. Also the cover of this volume 2 does not show that was any change regarding the art, as it follows the same one as the 1st, it is deceiving.
However the story continues being very good and with the power that the first has.
