Bro if i could inject this book into my veins i would . It was so good I can't even describe it . When Mickey said i am her royal servent I died i fucking died , when she read the letter he sent her i cried soo soo much I can't feel my eyes . Overall i love him with my whole heart

Roman carried this book for me, Isabella was insufferable, I understand trauma and abandonment issues but yes was hot and cold and so freaking annoying. That is all that kept me from giving more for this book, it could have had 5 stars, but it is complicated.

Allow me to explain. 1st let me be clear this rating is NOT because the book was bad - I can see many people really liking the story and the MMC. I can see people getting into the story and rooting for the MC's. The plot wasn't awful, and it wasn't horribly written at all.

- BUUUUUUUTTTT...

FOR ME, MY Opinion, MY Preference This had almost every single trope I can not stand.... I think the only one it didn't have was surprise/unplanned pregnancy. The FMC was fucking insufferable. Whiny and Bitchy, and holy fuck the naivety she SHOULD not have had given the abuse. The fact that she distrusted the MMC... UGGGHHHH... I don't want to spoil anything, but I hated this book. I can't deal with characters like her and tropes that are a pet peeve all in one book. It's awful because she didn't get better until the fucking end.... THE. FUCKING. END!!!!!! I know, I know. Trauma hits people differently - but FUUUUCK - I honestly could not deal.

Honestly, if you check the triggers, and don't mind miscommunication NON-communication tropes and very weak FMC's that DON'T GROW AT ALL IN THE WHOLE BOOK, give it a go. The MMC is fantastic in all of the unhinged ways we dark romance readers like. The plot wasn't super predictable, and I dunno man - a lot of the book didn't suck. For me, it was her..... JUST HER and it made the book absolutely miserable for me.

I feel bad as fuck giving this book 1 star, but I honestly can't remember a book that pissed me off from start to fucking end. I finished this book irritated and frustrated that I didn't have it in me to DNF it.
