Well that was something! No but honestly it was pretty good and entertaining. Had the famous “Sorry I didn’t mean to wake you” line after he killed her whole family lool. It was honestly a suprisingly pretty romantic book like there were a lot of love declarations and what not. I also have rarely seen a mmc as obsessed as Roman is with Bella, like it was on another level. I liked the year by year chapters until the present.
As for the plot it felt like a lot happened but also nothing?? Idk how to explain but like the plot with the vargas cartel seemed there just to add like a dangerous aspect to the book but it didn’t feel well thought out imo.

The spice was nice pretty hot tbh.

I AM weirded out by the fact that Mickey Mouse is such a big element in this book lmao like? It gave disney adult vibes lol

Like bella screaming mickey while they were having sex knowing where the nickname came from is definitely not weird at all!

What red flags?! 🙈🚩 Y’ALL. I ate this book up. 5 stars on vibe alone. Best dark romance book I’ve read. Hands down the most obsessed, literal “touch her and ☠️” MMC I’ve ever read. Roman Riviera is the book boyfriend I didn’t know I needed.

It was okay I guess, I felt like the pacing was weird and parts seemed to drag on. I also feel like things were too nonchalant at the beginning, she walks in to see her childhood friend murdering her foster family and what does she do? She yells at him for leaving her behind, I don't know about anyone else, but I'd run screaming for the hills.

this book was way too long for what it was. i honestly struggled to finish it. i liked the spice but nothing else about it really. the story was just messy and was giving wattpad. i really didn’t need 400 pages of this shit

DNF. How can a book with this intro and premise be this boring?

At 1st it was good but then I lost interest about 1/2 through. It’s friends to lovers. They know each other since kids. Present is he is 22 and she is 20. He is actually very sweet, protective and totally into her since the very beginning. Her character gets annoying by 1/2 way through. Her reaction after he revealed what happened to him was strange … I was not buying into her reasonings anymore after that. then I just got bored with the plot. I scrolled to the epilogue to make sure they are together at the end and they are , so I stopped reading. It was meh 🫤
