This is the ultimate "hood lit" novel, but Souljah does it with such style, not amateurism.

I enjoyed this book. Winter the main character it’s so hard to root for her cause she be doing toooo much.. I won’t lie this book moves fast and there’s a lot of turns. Unfortunately based on the ending her sister will end up just like her. Lol this book has some funny moments but these events that take place definitely happen in real life.

Winter is a teenager, so I'm going to give her some grace. This is a book full of terrible decision making. I remember reading this book as a teen and really enjoying it. Now I'm just kinda annoyed by it. I think that's perks of growing up and maturing though.

A book that was assigned to a friend of mine, I picked it up to see what it was about and couldn't put it down. An excellent read about a different side of life that many don't face and so many wonder about.
