I have to admit that the first thing that drew me in about this graphic novel was the cover. I mean, look at that gorgeous art, I had to check it out, and I'm so happy I did! I'm so invested in the story and the characters already. Can't wait to read volume two!

A promising start to the series. I’m not sure how many books there are already but I’m certainly keen to read more. This was fun. Nice artwork and colours too.

'Wynd Book One: Flight of the Prince' by James Tynion IV with art by Michael Dialynas is a fantasy graphic novel set in an unusual fantasy world.

Wynd works in a pub helping out, but Wynd has a secret. He has pointy ears and that could get him killed. Especially now that the menacing Bandaged Man is in town looking for him. Fortunately, he's got new and old friends that want to help him escape.

I really liked this world and these characters. I liked the twists and turns the story took and I'd be more than happy reading more in this series. The art is also a win, with great character design.

I received a review copy of this graphic novel from BOOM! Studios and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.

I Thoroughly enjoyed this graphic novel a unique spin on humanity versus magic. Introducing interesting law and new spins on well known mythoses, compelling character and story while not original in the bareats sense. A very fresh take. It also introduces and deals with some dark and heavy themes, well not shying from them, and cost of doing what is right, and the right to simply being, can’t wait to read the next one

I picked this up on a whim after reading some other comics form BOOM! Studios, and really loved it! It's very queer, has charming art, and has a strong undercurrent of hope and kindness and trying to make things better and do things for the people that you care about, even while it doesn't pull its punches about the sacrifices that are made along the way. It follows the story of Wynd, a magic-touched boy in a society where magic is hated and feared. The King who upholds the Blood Laws to try to eliminate all of the 'weird blood' is dying, and trying to force his son, Prince Yorik, to continue in his stead. Wynd, Yorik, the palace gardener's son, and Wynd's adoptive sister flee to join up with the Duke's rebellion, learning a lot along the way about how they've been lied to about the reality of magic, and figuring out how to do things like "how to be a person" and "how to be yourself."

I was not prepared for how much I would love this.

I have read Something Is Killing The Children and the spin-off House of Slaughter series by Tynion and wasn’t sure if this would be as good because it’s so different but damn was I wrong.

I loved every second of this story and felt instantly connected to the characters. This story is cute and wholesome, while also being heartbreaking.
