I'm not big on motorcycle romances, but I read the other books in the Stonecut County series and I wanted to read Dina's story. This book tied up some loose ends from the other books, and it was nice to see Dina's brothers and their wives again. I still hate Dina's parents, but Heavy is such a good character and perfect as Dina's romantic interest.
The story is good. There are a few shocking moments; I always like to be surprised. Dina's autism is handled well. Now I'd like to read about her younger brothers.

This might be my favorite one of the series. Really enjoyed getting to peek under the hood of who Heavy is on the inside. And Dina, the FMC, was a delight. I appreciate that Cate wrote a neurodivergent main character though I can’t speak to the accuracy of it. It felt believable and not like a caricature. At the very least the characterization is far better than the FMC in Forty who has ADHD (that book is a disaster).

I love Cate’s writing style. It’s practical, honest, emotional, and witty.

I had so much fun with this book. This is my first biker romance and the first book I’ve read in this series. I just loved Dina and Heavy. I loved being inside Dina’s mind and I loved that she didn’t lose her autonomy. Heavy is everything you’d expect from the president of a biker gang on the outside but on the inside is this layered, brilliant and caring man. It made me laugh out load several times- I mean if you told me a spicy, biker gang novella was gonna name drop Dostoevsky and quote the Bible I’d laugh in your face but it worked. I loved it, that’s it! P.S. I NEED more big bois in my romances I will forever be imaging all MMCs as Heavy from this day forward.
