Extremely underwhelming, but not bad

I loved the way this book ends. TJR developed the characters in such a way that it felt so real. I have nothing to complain about this book. This is how the reality is. Sometimes one’s life may become so vulnerable and unbearable for extreme disrespect and lack of love. But one must not be with the person if he or she have some self respect and love for his or herself. I truly believe that, a person should prioritize his or her life first. And that’s what the story pictures beautifully. It’s really hard to find good and honest people in life. You may make wrong decision while choosing the love of your life, but never ever continue doing that error your whole life. Leave that person and enjoy your life. No matter what your plan was about your life and future.

I’m not a fan of the cheating trope but, man, Taylor Jenkins Rein can write. The book was so short and yet delivered so much.

Such a good morning read. I love the time that this was set in and the context of a marriage/relationship in the 1970s. Really good book/short story. highly recommend for anyone looking for a quick read about relationships!!

Well that escalated quickly.

Quick, easy read with a little twist at the end.
