Even thought Zetta Elliott said that she doesn't consider herself a poet in the introduction of this book of poetry, but I'd venture to say that she's a legit, real-deal poet. I'd love to see more books of poetry by her in the future.

This is one of those poetry books that I wholeheartedly believe should be required reading for everyone.

Read in my English class. Liked a few poems in it but not a lot of them either. I’m just not a poem fan really.

Fabulous poetry about female empowerment and Black Lives Matter. So important for our youth to experience this.
