Ah yes, high school nerds vs jocks story about them teaming up to solve an issue. Nothing new here, but I did find it interesting all the ways things did in fact go wrong.

I didn't care for the "resolution" of Charlie's family drama. I wish either it wasn't as involved in the story or more time was spent on the ending of the whole thing. It felt like the whole book's worth of tension was resolved in two pages.

This books was genuinely so FUN to read. Like yeah, the plot was basic, but it was also addicting and quick and just an overall good time.

I love Erin Faith Hick’s art style so much and the story it self was very entertaining. There is so much sarcasm, wit , and energy in each character which hooked me into the story. I wish I could be friends with all these people in real life

This is a very generous 4-star rating, mostly because I love Faith Erin Hicks' art. These characters are all so CUTE and she does some stunning wordless multi-frame exploded scenes--the basketball scene and the cheerleader pencil-snapping scene were absolutely awesome.

But the plot is very thin, and the conflicts are not all that believable or worrisome. It tries to do something interesting with the nerd vs. jock thing, but it doesn't really accomplish much.

Still an easy and fun read for a graphic novel enthusiast looking for some quick entertainment.
