I liked that this book was a little bit different than the others in the series, but by the end it did fall back into the same formula as the others. Also I was glad that the love triangle in this book was very minimal compared to the other books.

Maeve is still my least favorite of the daughters of Eville, but this ended up being my favorite of the stories. The character arc for Aspen, especially with where he was at even as far back as book 1, was super well written.
