Took me a while to get it, but I really liked the ending. It’s all about how different people see art. For the characters art is an escape, a career, an investment, and a tortured past.
Sirens & Muses had been on my TBR since it was published and I'm so happy I finally read it. The exploration of what drives art and why it is valued appeals to me greatly. And the characters as individuals are very compelling and I love the added dimensions of their relationships.
Sirens & Muses is filled with melancholy and love and I appreciate it greatly for it.

This is a well-earned 3.5. I enjoyed the book and loved the sapphic component. I thought the female characters were very interesting and flawed in good ways. I hated Preston and Robert for most of the book, and though I thought the final wrap up of their characters made sense, it happened a bit suddenly. I also wish we had gotten a more final ending, but I can see the appeal of leaving it as it was!
Overall, an enjoyable entry into some moody, sapphic lit. It wasn't anything groundbreaking for me, but I did feel like the women were represented honestly and complexly and I appreciated that.

3.5.
I loved exploring the art world and learning so much about studying art and then trying to make it as an artist. I don’t think Preston’s and the professor’s storylines were that necessary. I’d have preferred them to be background characters and the main focus to be in Louisa and Karina.

This is a really beautiful book. The themes explored through the variety of characters, and the way all the stories overlapped and connected was masterfully done. Gorgeous, vivid description balanced with an engaging plot and compelling character development. Although I am not an artist, or am in any way knowledgeable about art, I would definitely recommend to anyone who feels intrigued by the blurb.
