I have never in my life related to a character more than Louisa. Gonna miss her so much

4 stars. A slow build character oriented story. Its characters are assholes and messy but feel so real. The plot is simple but with big moments and dramatic reveals and twists. The writing is poetic and gorgeous and I enjoyed the way the author told the story. While I can’t say that I particularly liked any of the characters I did find them incredibly fascinating in all of their pretentious ways. I also liked the romance between Karina and Louisa and I wanted more of that. I know that the romance isn’t the focus but they were so good together and I really enjoyed their chemistry and dynamics with one another. It’s a bit dysfunctional but it works for them.
I loved the passion for art in this. You could really feel how badly the characters just wanted to create something that mattered and I could respect that. My only complaint is that the pacing of this is a bit off. It feels a lot longer than its 368 (kindle) pages because everything moves at such a slow pace. If that had been ironed out a bit more this probably would’ve been higher. I still do recommend it because it was a really good read.

like a 3.6 rounded up, overall i liked this but also there were moments where i just kinda didn’t care and was waiting for the story to move on. if i was an art school girly i definitely would’ve eaten this up though
