After reading The Sun Down Hotel, I wanted to read more from St. James. So, I’m going backwards (by date published) through her previous novels.

I love boarding school thrillers and this one didn’t disappoint!

I was underwhelmed by this story. There's a missing girl in 1950, there's a dead girl in the 1994, and in 2014 the sister of the dead girl is investigating both and determined to discover the truth about each case. There's a ghost, a Nazi in hiding, corrupt cops, and a creepy boarding school. I could have done without the 1950 storyline. I was interested enough to read along to see how 2014 and 1950 were connected, but I was unsatisfied by the resolution.

This book was so good. it had so many twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat and wanting more. when I wasn't reading it, it was constantly on my mind.

This book was extremely creepy and terrifying but I couldn’t put it down. Well I could when it was dark out because it was that creepy. But it was phenomenal!
