3.5. I read this book based on a recommendation by my friendy Brandon for my 12 in 12 recommendations! I enjoyed it and it was entertaining for most of the book, but it reminded me so much of The Book of Cold Cases... maybe it's just the author's vibes. This is only my seconf book by Simone St James so it may be the case. I did not feel attached to any of the characters except the FMC, Fiona. I was happy with the 'who done it' reveal in her storyline but I will not say why for fear of spoilers. I listened to this mostly via audio and I think it was well done. Thank you, Brandon for your recommendation!

Really good book! I loved the 1950s storyline and the paranormal aspect was interesting, though I wish there was more. The 2014 storyline was a bit predictable,
and none of the twists were suprising,
but enjoyable nonetheless.

It had the right amount of creepy, but the twists weren’t that clever. The story was paced well, though.

I really like the books by Simone St James. This book did not disappoint.

I loved Sun's Down Motel. This one wasn't as good but still kept my interest. I struggled to get into it at first as I don't typically like anything paranormal. But after it got going, I was hooked and had to know who killed Sona & why was this place being restored.

The very end, last paragraph or so, struck me as odd. But overall a good story.

Good buildup, definitely keeps you wanting to read it

I love this author's writing! Excellent use of language, clear, crisp plot and action. The story is very interesting.

Not a bad book. Not sure how I felt about the supernatural aspect.

It was too slow paced plus the plotline had me dissatisfied till the end.
