80% is them fucking, literally “broke up” because he didn’t let her talk, and it felt like they don’t have friends apart from family

Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Couple: Stone & Ryleigh
❋❋❋❋❋
“Gorgeous, there will be so many next times. There will be a time when you aren’t even going to remember what it’s like not to have me there.”
❋❋❋❋❋
The way in which I loved the mouth on Stone, all his praising, dirty talking, confident, beautiful words, had me over here fluttering, damn. This book was so enjoyable, I did want to shake Ryleigh for a bit, but Stone was going to win, which he did, and she melted for him. I mean he did deliver the best first date ever! The family dynamic in these books is chaos and wonderful, added another layer to their story, super fun read.

Ryleigh and Stone are focused. Ryleigh is an ADA in Chicago and lives to work whereas Stone is an NHL hockey captain in Nashville at the top of his game. They don't have anything in common and if it weren't for a wedding between their families they never would've met. There shouldn't be any reason for them to see each other again but the attraction is instant and Stone isn't going to let Ryleigh go without a fight.
Stone is cocky and charismatic and doesn't really take no for an answer. He is pretty single-minded in pursuing a relationship with Ryleigh who has sworn them off. I loved the banter between the two and their chemistry is explosive. Their relationship develops pretty fast and they both hurt one another in not communicating properly but they do get their HEA eventually through compromise and self-sacrifice.
There is a huge ensemble of characters who you can get to know in previous series'. This is the second generation with siblings and cousins and other extended family so the backlist is extensive and without reading all of those first it can be a little tricky to keep everyone straight in your mind.
I enjoyed my first Natasha Madison read and I'm sure it won't be my last.

Couldn't finish it. I kept giving it a chance but it wasn't worth it , there was no character building, they barely knew each other they just had sex that basically their relationship. Also there was no chemistry it was soo rushed and unrealistic. I was in a reading slump and this book didn't help at allll

No building of background of the characters or their relationship also no real plot just random jumps in time.
