This was a very sweet romance by a new to me author. It was more of a slow burn, and it fit the MCs perfectly. I love how they each learned what was important to themselves and how to merge that with each other. I will definitely be reading more books by this author.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily gave my honest review.

This was a sweet read, not too angsty, about Shawn, who graduated with his degree in astronomy and who wants to take the summer off and work on his passion project, a book. What he doesn't know is that his older brother had hired his best friend, Cass, to remodel the art studio behind the house where both of the men will be staying. This was a cute read, especially how Cass discovers his attractions to Shawn from what he remembers from their past and the man he's grown up to be. A good read!

Easy read

New to me author, I’ll definitely check out more of their works. This was a sweet story. I really liked both characters and that they developed their love over time. No angst and the epilogue was great.

Just what I needed. The sex is hot but the fluff is perfect

Cute, but on the easy and stickily sweet side. It could have used some friction to stir things up. Cass's developing sexuality wasn't even a thing to think about apparently, which in essence is a good thing, but it felt like it was overlooked completely here and I didn't really get a feel for who these characters were exactly aside from their astronomy and drumming careers. Shawn in particular felt underdeveloped. I did like the way they explored their sex life together and how aside from one blip they communicated their feelings quite openly. So, does Leo get a book?

2.5 stars. I like the best friend’s brother trope and the whole thing was a bit cute. I liked that Cass and Shawn became a team somehow. It wasn’t as cheesy as it could have been for most of the book, but the cheese fest hit hard in the end, especially in the epilogue.

Cayden has once again delivered a cute story with lovable characters and good tension.

Falling for the Geek features Shawn, a geeky astronomy graduate, and Cass, a drummer, and the ever lovely forced proximity trope. After graduating with his master's degree, Shawn decides to summer at his grandmother's old home in the Appalachians in Kentucky. He thinks he'll be alone, working on his pet project - a book about astronomy that lets people without an astronomy degree fall in love with the Cosmos the way he always has.

But that changes when his older brother, Leo, calls to let him know that he'd forgotten that Shawn would be there and he'd told his best friend from high school, Cass, that he could stay there for the summer while fixes up their deceased grandmother's old studio. Shawn doesn't even have time to get dressed before Cass shows up at the door. We learn early that Cass was Shawn's protector in high school and that Shawn had a massive crush on him because of it.

Shawn and Cass have pretty good chemistry and its a joy reading their journey as they get to know one another over the summer. By the time they start to hook up, it feels like a natural progression. The book is pretty low angst, especially given the fact that until reconnecting with Shawn, Cass had never once questioned his sexuality.

This is a nice quick and enjoyable read about finding love when you're not looking for it.

This was such an easy romance to fall in love with and enjoy! It's very low angst, GFY/bi awakening, brother's best friend. Lot's to enjoy!
Cass is straight and his brother's best friend so of course Shaun crushed on him and ten years apart has not lessened that at all. Now they have to spend several months at his family's cabin, what could go wrong?
Shaun is his best friend's younger brother, just as adorable and geeky as the last time he saw him. The cabin is the perfect place for him to work while he takes the time to reset and make plans for his future.
There's a real ease and sense of comfort as the two men learn to be around each other again, developing a friendship all of their own. Everything that happens feels like a natural progression - Cass's attraction to Shaun, the spark and heat that they share, and the feelings that develop. I loved how they buoyed each other, allowing them to be themselves and talk about what they actually wanted from life without the pressures normally put upon them by work/academics/friends/family. The setting is beautiful and definitely helpful when it comes to Shaun's stargazing, a pastime that brings them together as they bond over the beauty that they see.
I really enjoyed reading this. It was so easy to fall into the story and the relationship that grows between them, regardless of how skittish Shaun is to begin with. Definitely a recommended read for me.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
