This has its charms and overall it was a fun listen. There were issues. Jamie's parents have that cartoon villain edge that annoys me. Bea is as autistic as she needs to be for the story. We started with Bea showing evidence of a spectrum disorder. but other than sensitivity to food and clothing texture most of it disappears. Bea's badass behavior and extended staring contest at Jamie's parents party really bugged me since it was so inconsistent with what she had identified as triggers for her. Also later in the book there is discussion of loose hugs, which earlier Bea identified as uncomfortable for her, clearly stating she needed the pressure of tight hugs. Also, Jean Paul's behavior turned on a dime, there was no build up to a real personality change. I love the representation of people with social anxiety disorder and with ASD but I think if you are going to include that you have to be true to those behaviors throughout.
This was fine for me, but the blurb says this is is based on As You Like It, and the comparisons are VERY minor so if that is the sole draw for you to read this I would skip.

I had a lot of fun with this book. I absolutely love a good fake dating trope, and this is no exception. It is hilarious at times and tenderly sweet at others. The way these two learn, respect and care for each other is beautiful for most of the book. I took off 1/2 star because the way they stumble over themselves and each other, each spiraling out in their own head, gets painfully uncomfortable at times. Another 1 star came off because the 3rd act breakup was so poorly done, nonsensical, and immature. The HEA only comes because outside circumstances change, not because the FMC actually chooses the person she supposedly loves. Still this was mostly an enjoyable book, and I look forward to reading more from Chloe Liese.

Minor: Biphobia, Emotional abuse, Violence, Abandonment
Thank you to Net Galley and Berkley for this ARC! I love Chloe Liese's Bergman Brothers series, so I was SO excited to read Two Wrongs Make a Right, and it did not disappoint!
I am an absolute sucker for a grumpy/sunshine trope, so I knew I was going to like this one. Our MCs Bea and Jamie are set up by their meddling friends, and while their original meeting doesn't go well at all, they decide to team up to get revenge on their noisy friends by pretending to date. Of course, their fake dating turns into more as Bea and Jamie learn that they actually have a lot in common and like spending time together - forcing them to confront whether their relationship is still just for show.
Chloe always makes her characters so fun and lovable - with all the random but perfect tidbits, but I loved Bea and her unique tattoos, hedgehog and relationships with her sisters. Also, I loved how it authentically addressed Jamie's anxiety. Overall, this story was sweet andI really enjoyed it, would definitely recommend it!

I. LOVED. THIS. so beautiful. so good. why was i putting this off when it’s one of the best things i’ve read in a while?
both bea and jamie are so flawed but so great. the representation of their mental health was so good and they complimented each other so well. the communication and the understanding and ahhhhhh one of my favourite couples in a book.
i was so excited reading this and so giddy, literally kicking my feet up in the air and giggling because it was so SWEET.
i’m deceased. gn.
