I wish Zane had broken up with Celeste for good, that would be a perfect ending.
I hated Celeste.

"I'll be whatever you want me to be, Celestial, so long as you let me be yours."
- childhood rivals to lovers… to enemies to lovers (second chance)
- billionaire romance
- arranged marriage
- past & present
- it's always been you
- forced proximity
- 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
- dual pov
I've said it every time, but this series is so addictive. I love how every arranged marriage is different.
In this instance, we meet Zane and Celeste in their early 20s, when they begin a relationship after growing up as childhood rivals. The relationship is forbidden as they work for rival companies, making the tension and their obsession so much better. But it takes a TURN that has them separate for five years.
That's when they're forced into an arranged marriage, and oh, the enemies-to-lovers vibes are EVERYTHING. Zane doesn't shy away from making his feelings towards Celeste know. But because of their past relationship, lines blur, and they struggle to keep their hands off each other, even if Zane struggles to fully trust Celeste again.
They have to learn to forgive and forget to move on. But it's not easy and adds to their messy, complicated dynamic. Naturally, I ate it up. "It hits me then. I'd rather fight with her day and night than live a life she isn't part of." 🥺
My one critique is that the ending dragged and felt monotonous after a while. But otherwise, another hit for The Windsors!

3.5 stars!
Well this one was a refreshing read. Because instead of the man messed up we got FMC who messing up. I honestly thought it was fine because Celeste did some things horrible. Not only men do bad things you know. This book was a lot.
There’s so many conflicts. It was divided in two parts. Part one, where they were so lovely and in love. While part two was five years later where there’s so much hate, they were and unhappy and bitter with each other.
To be honest, I ached for both of them. Both hurting in their own ways. There’s some parts were repetitive and the book unnecessary long. While I love the first part, the second part not so much.
Anyway, I’m excited for Lex and Sierra!!

10 STARSSS - Oh my lord. THIS is one of my favorite books of all time. I have never liked a second chance romance until this book changed everything from me. We always saw glimpses of Zane and Celeste in the books previously but the biggest question to me was WHY? WHAT made them hate each other so much. I will tell you every question is answered and oh my, I felt every emotion possible reading this book and by being halfway into the book can confirm I was heartbroken myself. I wanted to give everyone a hug. I screamed bloody murder with that plot twist - cried happy tears, screamed, laughed and cried again (in a good way). Immediatetly finished this book and re-read, and shouted from the rooftop (tiktok) that everyone should start this series bc it was SOOOO GOOD
I absolutely adore this series and can't wait for Lex's story. The only thing that stopped me from giving four stars is that I feel it was just that touch too long and a little repetitive in places.
