It’s one of the most linear books of the series so far, but also one of the most inventive, esoteric, and existential. The passage where Destruction and his siblings sit under the sky together and Destruction talks of the fleeting nature of existence was so gorgeous, it felt like a kick in the chest. It’s probably one of my favorite books of the series so far, and is a fascinating exploration of life and continuity, and where all of this might end. Brief lives indeed.

This one was really good. Delirium is a fun character. The whole change motif was neat too.

Ah, finally a rather linear story arc once again. I like it very much. Ties some things together, a lot of fun and hints at bigger things to come.

It's been too long since my last Sandman. I sometimes find myself annoyed by mythical worlds whose boundaries their creators refuse to define, but there's something about Gaiman's creations that just seem real.
