Angie has a sense of humor some religious people do not appreciate but I didn't mind it. This is an easy to read/do bible study broken up into smaller parts. I enjoyed it.

This may be my favorite Bible study ever. It very clearly and simply takes you through the chronological order of the Bible, teaching how the pieces all fit together into one story. I've never understood the kings and prophets and their role in history as well as I do now, and the importance of their role. Paul's journeys came alive in a new way. Highly recommend this study to anyone, whether you are a beginner, or like me a seasoned Bible study student.

This is a wonderful study and overview of the books of the Bible. I highly recommend this study for both seasoned followers and brand-new Christians.

This book was an excellent overview of the Bible. I read it with my 12 year old daughter to help her to get a picture of the themes that run through the entire Bible. I did find it a little bit beginner for me, but overall it was a very good study -- doing the whole Bible in 6 weeks is a bit daunting, but this study was able to give a great perspective into why you want to read the whole of God's Book! I will say that her humor was sometimes a bit corny (my daughter hated it!), but I appreciated her wanting to make the study read like we were having a class discussion instead of something much dryer.

A great study for anyone who feels overwhelmed by the Bible and has a sense of humor wedded to a love of God.

Angies writing is simple yet personal and packed with info. She is personable and hilarious, while really digging in and breaking down the components of the Bible. Was a great book for my women’s group!

6 weeks to study the overarching story of the Bible is a little (A LOT) ambitious. Needless to say, It took 2.5 months to go through the study with two others ladies. Angie Smith created an amazing tool to help give context to the stories we may or may not have heard on Sunday Mornings. Understanding why the call of Abraham, the mass Exodus, the divided kingdom, etc. fit in to the seamless story of the Bible.

I'd just recommend to Bible Study leaders NOT to take the easy way out and taking Angie's word for it and challenging your bible study group to dive into the Bible and the passages that she's addressing. She likes to throw her opinions/assumptions in there that will confuse the heck out of some people especially those her are just reading the Bible for the very first time.

The premise is good. It's important to understand the Bible as one complete story. For that reason, I really, really wanted to like this study. I realized from the beginning that it was going to be chatty, informal, cutesy. So, I was willing to let it be what it was.... but it steadily became over the top. It's not my style anyway, but the joking, corny comments didn't add anything even for someone who is new to the Bible or intimidated by understanding it.

The only thing new to me and interesting was her side note about the Hyksos people. That prompted further study. Other than that... nothing new here and too cutesy to be a refresher.

Seamless is like Biblical Literacy 101. The story of Scripture and its main themes are covered over the course of 7 weeks. Seamless would be EXCELLENT for a new believer or someone new to studying their Bible.
All of that to say, I feel weird rating this because I’m not sure I’m the intended audience. Obviously it is an overview, but it killed me to skip over so much. I’m a sucker for a good inductive study, so skimming kind of felt like a disservice to the Word- but I know the point is to have an overview, and it did that. I’m excited to have discussions over it, and reminders of the metanarrative of Scripture are always welcome!
