No lo volveria a leer. Entretenido para pasar el rato igual.

Really stellar ending, I just wanted to get there in half the time.

I really loved this book.

This is the first book that Jackson Pearce ever published, and I have to say that this was a great story. What would you wish for if you had a Jinn? At first, I thought, "I'd wish to be whatever body size I wanted, I'd want to find financial success an emotional reward in my work, and I'd like to never have to deal with depression again." Of course, my wishes were incredibly shallow, but if I could have something magical to correct the things in my life I'm not happy with, would I take them? That's the issue that Viola has to face. She's unhappy with her life ever since her boyfriend Lawrence came out to her.

I think I loved the message of this book the most:
Spoiler Only you can make you happy, not your significant other, not your friends, not your family.
I thought that was an incredibly powerful message, one I've been waiting on all my life to hear. It's amazing all the things that you miss when you don't read. I really encourage others to read this book, especially young girls like I was at age thirteen. I wish I had this message when I was younger.

Jackson has done vlogs about why book banning is wrong. Why should one person dictate you what to read? Shouldn't what you read be personal to you? We don't understand why a certain person wants to read what they read. I hate to think that this book could ever get banned quietly because I really want everybody to read this book!!!

Durch Zufall bin ich auf dieses Buch gestoßen und dachte ich probier es mal aus.
Und es hat mich wirklich begeistert.
Toller Schreibstil, tolle Charaktere, wunderschöne Geschichte.

Great short book.

Loved the main character, she recognized that what she wanted wasn't what would make her happy. There was no stupid love triangle. No instalove. I mean there was a bit of falling in love in a short time frame, but nothing too over the top. Nice resolution and I hope there's more (because I read a short story about one of her friends and another jinn). It also had really nice pacing, since it was a shorter book (less than 200 pages). It n ever felt rushed though, which was nice.

no matter how many times i read this book i enjoy it immensely. the characters are believable and Jinn in particular grows so much throughout the story. when now days books are filled with vampires fairies and werewolves it is nice to see a paranormal romance that is that little bit different in this case it is a Jinn (basically a genie) who falls in love with his master. such a beautiful cute read that takes no time at all to finish.

This was a cute and quick read. Perfect for some light summer reading by the pool. Nothing too heavy. The parts that were supposed to be dramatic and heartbreaking were very lightly written so they weren't overly emotional to read at all. If I had been in the mood for something heavier or more emotionally charged this would have been a disappointment, but since it is summer and I tend to lean more toward fluffy contemporary during this time of year, this was perfect.

La verdad es que es ágil y no aburre aunque creo que podía haber dado más de sí. Le pongo un 2,5 (ya estamos con la necesidad de medias estrellas) pero la idea me ha gustado.

Very good, but like the review says.....it makes me wish for more at the end!!! --December 17th, 2009
