4.75 stars rounded up. I love this author so much; she is the absolute queen of the slow burn romance. I loved the whole setting of the figure skating world because it was just enough. You got details without being overwhelmed by the minutiae of the sport. Jasmine as a main character was complex and Ivan was just fabulous.
I think the thing I liked best about this audiobook was the way that Teddy Hamilton was always the voice of Ivan. Callie Dalton was the primary narrator, as the book is told from Jasmine in first person. But whenever Ivan would speak, it was Teddy Hamilton's voice. This gave the whole audio experience an added dimension. I'm glad the audiobook narrating world is trying new formats like this one. It totally works.
My one and only criticism of this book is the language. It just seemed gratuitous after awhile. I get the fact that Jasmine was rough around the edges. I had no problem with that - but every other word? It just got to be a bit much, especially when she always referred to Ivan with such disdain. I liked this character so much - but the expression "you kiss your mama with that mouth?" comes to mind when I think about her.
I'm still thinking about these characters days later. Mariana Zapata can just write romance like nobody's business.

Estoy entre 2,5 y 3,5. Tengo sentimientos encontrados con este libro. Debo decir q la segunda parte del libro me ha gustado infinitamente mas que la primera, de hecho estuve apunto de dejarlo un par de veces ya que no me empezó a gustar hasta que pase mas de la mitad del libro. Lo he visto excesivamente lento y muy repetitivo, y puede que sea por las grandes expectativas que tenia pero no me ha llenado del todo... y es una pena! porque la historia me encantaba! Ivan me REENCANTA! pero creo que ha puesto demasiadas paginas de relleno además de que no me gustan los libros que tenga muchos personajes que no aportan absolutamente nada, creo que si Jess llega a tener solo un hermano ó dos habría estado mucho mejor. Es un quiero y no puedo, que pena con la pintaza que tenia.

4.5… loved it wished it was dual perspective. Also it is definitely a slow burn but I’m not complaining.
