Carter Flynn & Tomasso DiCosta
Another really good mm hockey romance from Sarina Bowen! Very cute story and I’m excited to read another Colorado Cougars story. Tomasso’s mom Emilia was such a great supportive mom.

I enjoyed this more than I did the first time around! The audiobook was great (occasionally tommasso was a littttttle bit monotone, but it didn’t ruin it for me). Love the slow burn between these two.

Genuinelly had the time of my life!
Im extremely familair with Sarina Bowen as an author, ive followed her for years although i dont have her entire bibliography under my belt
I’M Your Guy was a lovely, incredibly readable and entertaining read!
The main characters are interesting and their romance is 99% sweet and 1% they needed to talk for 10 minutes but now its fine
This softer romance is my favorite currently so im entirely satisfied
If i read the signs correctly the next volume in the series will involve the new goalie Hale and Coach Powers and I AM SO THERE
Cant wait!

Story of Tommaso and Carter

I LOVED THIS BOOK!

Sarina Bowen has an amazing writing style and I have read everything she has written. The second I saw this book coming out I knew it would be good. Pre order on the kindle book and audible for the win. It just appeared on release. I love it when authors release both at the same time.

This book has so much witty banter, so many funny scenes and I loved reading about Tommaso and Carter’s relationship blossoming.

Secondary characters were adorable! I really hope Stoney gets his own book, he is a crack up.

The narration performed by Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan was brilliant. They both deliver the comedy and witt so well. Love everything they do too.

Congratulations Sarina on such a fantastic book.

5⭐️ for the audio narration
4⭐️ for the story

Shocking to absolutely no one, I am really enjoying this new series from Sarina Bowen! Book #2 kicks off with a perfect "Right Place, Right Time" meet cute, where Tommaso, our new-to-Colorado hockey player, meets Carter, an interior designer, outside of a furniture store.

Tommaso needs to furnish his new house with more than a bean bag and a mattress on the floor in the next month before his mom comes to visit for Christmas. And Carter needs money (among other things) quickly after being royally screwed over by his ex & a past client.

Like me, Tommaso is fully wanting to just throw money at his problems and have someone else make all the decisions, and honestly, that was hella relatable despite the fact that I am 0% a millionaire. So with this in mind, Tommaso takes a leap of faith and follows his heart (and maybe his D if we are being honest) and hires Carter to become his interior designer.

Despite their mutual attraction, their romance grows and develops at a slow enough pace to be believable, especially as we learn more about their pasts as the book goes on.

Overall, this was a heartwarming story, and though it is not technically a holiday romance, it has more holiday vibes than many that are out there so it is perfect for when you are in that mood.

*Thank you to Sarina Bowen for the ALC copy of this audiobook, all opinions are my own*

This is a heart rending and incredibly beautiful story with so much heartfelt tenderness. The characters are so incredibly likable and they’re both struggling in very different ways. They stole my heart and I loved the gentleness of their relationship, the kindness of the characters and their journey from strangers, to friends to more.
Carter is friendly and fabulous, he’s had a few big letdowns professionally and personally, he feels a bit like he’s a hot mess.
Tomasso is quite possibly one of the loneliest characters I’ve read in awhile. He’s recently divorced and newly traded to an NHL team across the US. He comes across as a bit gruff and unfriendly. Carter is just what he needs to let his beautiful personality out.
It’s a story that really touched me deeply. The writing is beautiful and also entertaining.
The characters are both at lower points in life emotionally, they begin to be a positive force for each other. It’s so satisfying to see their connection grow, to see them change for the better, there’s so many poignant moments that made me feel so much for these characters with beautiful souls.
H0moph0bia and b*llying are central to a character’s story, mostly in the past.
I loved the slow burn of their romance. It’s such an emotional story, the steamy moments happen later in the story and didn’t disappoint at all.
A beautiful story that I won’t forget.
