I was hooked! I felt all of Thea's emotions and feminine rage. The monsters and obstacles are intriquing. It is a little heavy on training but I imagine book 2 or 3 will change the tone and theme. I'm looking forward to book 2.

okay I’m pumped for this series. World building was fun. Character development is picking up. Another series where you’re just waiting for something big to happen. I love the action and violence. The relationships being formed with two side characters is sweet. And MMC
meh…i think there were lots of good plot points but moved a little slow & romance was forced into it? band of misfits have my heart🫶🏻 tbd if reading the next in the series

Ok, there were a lot of good quotes from this book and I don't know if it was because of the man-hating base of the lines or because I felt them so hard (listed below) BUT I loved that this book has a band of misfits those are my fav, they tend to show a softer side and pull you into the characters but also that the smut didn't overwhelm the plot. Like I wasn't flipping through the pages trying to find out when the railing began but was so engrossed in the progress of the story that it didn't matter.
I wasn't completely in love with the FMC and that's why it got a 4 star I did thoroughly enjoy the side characters.
