gotta love American nonsense being the main joke/drama.

I will be honest with this review, I am slightly disappointed by this book.

I thought Carry On was a complete runaway surprise of me, and I devoured the book so quickly, however Wayward Son wasn't the same thing, and I don't know why exactly. I really enjoyed the first section of this book, but things started to lose its way (for me at least) with the introduction of the character Shepard. Like things just went a little too, OTT even for me, someone who believes that more is more.

I think maybe the setting and main antagonists if you will, were the issue for me. I loved the idea of the American Road Trip, but not the execution. Secondly, the storyline regarding Agatha, like just really? That's it? I was hoping for something more twisted and cults, idk.

The saving graces of this novel are the characters however, I love each character so very much. Will I pick up Book 3? Who knows, it's returning to Watford my preferred setting, so maybe I'll give it a go!

Yeah... I'm not sure what I just read

Where was the sexual tension?

Strange choice of cities lol

I am pretty sure the Pacific ocean is colder than the Atlantic but okay...

... Three dots not four

Why were Agatha and Bunce so annoying... as well as Shepard?

It's a problem when you ship Baz and Lamb MORE than Baz and Simon...Like, why did those two have intense sexual tension?

This book just seemed to fantasy for me...I mean what is the likelihood?

Author could have milked this as a psychological read and showing trauma, but she just flopped and it was too light-hearted.

I don't know...this seems off and I wasn't following the story

Nearly avoided a reading slump

I will, however, read the last one in the trilogy because I am too far invested at this point haha

I read this book in one day. I will say though, I was really hoping for more Baz/Simon content. Maybe Rainbow Rowell with dive deeper into their relationship in the next book. Personally, I thought the storyline was great it just lacked the romantic pull I felt in the first book. Though I do think that’s typical in a trilogy if that’s what this turns out being. The whole character development of it all and subtle character traits coming out amidst the storyline. I probably wouldn’t categorize this as one I would reread but I am definitely looking forward to the next book.

I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH. It wasn’t what I expected from the sequel at all but to my delight I adored every second of it. Unpopular opinion but I found this a lot more enjoyable than Carry On. I seriously can’t wait to get my hands on Any Way the Wind Blows, I need some closure after all that angst!

I have a lot to say about this book. It definitely wasn’t as good as the first one but it was still good. I wasn’t a huge fan of the storyline at first but it definitely did get better. The next book better come out soon because that cliffhanger is going to kill me. Also did anybody else thing that everyone in this book was literally being a dumbass the entire time
