I have mixed feelings about this book! I kind of hated the main character and narrator for the first 2/3 of the book but found it kind of funny and pretty compelling nonetheless bc she’s messy af. I was also driven to continue bc I want to watch the show and I refuse to do so without finishing the book first. Surprisingly, the last third of the book turned this around for me from a “meh, prob won’t continue the book series and will be fine with the show” to “wait, I want to know what happens next right tf now!” So average between 2 stars and 5 stars is 3.5 stars bc I had 2 different experiences!
This was so much fun. I think the audiobook sells it so well - narrator is amazing. Will stop freaking out my friends by listening to this to fall asleep now.

I have so many conflicting feelings about this. Ultimately it is “good for her”. The feeling of seeing a woman take control and get the absolute best revenge.
Rhiannon has a boring life, she works a job she hates, has a boring inconsiderate partner, and is constantly being looked down upon. But Rhiannon has a dark secret. She likes to go fishing at night. Fishing for one of the deadliest predators. The best part about the book besides Rhiannon’s inside thoughts she doesn’t speak would have to be the lists that she makes. “1. Mrs Whittaker – neighbour, elderly, kleptomaniac 2.‘ Dillon’ on the checkout in Lidl – acne, wallet chain, who bangs my apples and is NEVER happy to help”.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and laughed out loud a lot. I didn’t even care at a lot of points whether the ending/story would even be any good because it just had some brilliant lines in it and I was enjoying being entertained by the diary accounts.
Concept fantastic. There were some elements of gaps and lack of credibility to some parts of the story, but as I had the mentality of being in it for the ride, it didn’t affect my enjoyment of it.
I have a unique friend who Rhiannon reminded me of, which probably added to my enjoyment of reading this for the comparison in their personalities. I will of course be sending a buzzfeed quiz to her soon…
