I started the Sweetpea TV show recently, so of course I had to check out the book it’s based on. I wanted to like it, but it just didn’t hit for me. I get that Rhiannon is supposed to be unlikeable, but I honestly preferred the show's version. She’s at least a bit more sympathetic given everything she’s been going through. It’s rare for me to like an adaptation more than the book, but this one is an exception. It also dragged a bit, and the ending? Super weird. Very weird. Not a fan. Might skip the rest of the series because of the ending alone. Not a terrible read, just very meh for me overall.
