Didn't really feel this was a book about BDSM, have read so much better than this. Abigail was annoying and Seemed to try and top from the bottom, and Nathaniel was a rubbish Dom, won't be bothering with the rest of the series, bit cheesy too. Skimmed from 85% to get to the end.
2.5 stars.
The book is a commendable attempt of the author venturing into erotic fiction and I feel that a lot of readers will find similarities among this book and Fifty Shades of Grey. It's inevitable.
However, I really think Tara Me Sue need to work on developing her characters more fully in terms of their dialogue, background/history, and the overall plot of the relationships of the secondary characters with the primary characters. And also, please proof read. Seriously, so many fragments and grammar errors that were just irritating.
I felt the author did a credible job of portraying the dominant/submissive relationship between Nathaniel and Abigail; however, I felt their story and history as individuals were rather inconsistent. For example, written in first person narrative, I would assume we would get more of a history on Abigail's reasoning of why she wanted to be Nathaniel's submissive. Why she chose him instead of someone else. Just saying that Abigail chose Nathaniel as her dominant(and never really explaining why) isn't good enough and leaves missing story lines. I also felt Abigail's friend and Nathaniel's cousin were rather pointless in the book. They basically had no purpose developing the story line and/or the main couple's relationship and were just a waste of time.
Also, I would recommend that Tara Sue Me omit writing the inner dialogue of "Rational Abby", "Crazy Abby", etc. Really? Are we nine years old? It reminded me how much I hated reading about the "inner goddess" of Anastasia Steel in Fifty Shades of Grey and thought how E.L James' writing was incredibly juvenile at those points. Tara Sue Me, take some notes here, please.

Super quick read. There wasn't much depth to the characters and the story is pretty identical to fifty shades only not as gripping. Disappointed since it was reviewed so highly
adventurous
The Submissive is the first book in the Submissive Trilogy by Tara Sue Me.
Another Fan Fiction in the world of Twilight. While, I don’t personally see the similarity, or have a problem with fan fiction, some people might want to be forewarned about this. The Submissive was a little too over the top for me. The hero Nathaniel was cold and mysterious. While the reason for his dominant nature is revealed, I can honestly say that it was a pretty bad cop out. The heroine Abby was suppose to be new to the submissive role, but at times I feel she was more into the lifestyle than Nathaniel was. She seemed to know exactly what to do from the very beginning.
There are plot holes all throughout the book with some of the plot making little sense and no need to even be in the book. While the sexy scenes did have some heat, they shouldn’t have to carry an entire novel.
Overall this was another dominant billionaire who just needed another submissive to add to his whipping post.

Pass. I didn't get far enough to form a really solid opinion I guess but... it was just so boring and the best friend was a jerk. After realizing that I don't care about either of the characters I think we have to let it go.
A good fluff read. Not sure how I feel about Nathaniel being a "soft" dominant. My heart says love this poor bloke, he's so broken, but my head was like, this would so not ever be happening in real life."
