Didn’t expect the twist to sucker punch me in the gut while on the train, but in a beautifully moving way

This was slow, filled with unnecessary descriptions and contradictions (preaching to avoid almond milk because it kills bees during eating a chorizo) and an unbelievable connection between the two main characters. If you are interested in a gritty and captivating story which truly deals with transition, I recommend Detransition baby by Torrey Peters

I thought this book was really sweet. Queer love and friendship, tenderness, heartbreak, and repair.

I love this book. As cliché as it sounds, I truly felt I laughed and cried with it's characters.
It follows the story of Ming and Tom who meet at uni, and start dating. Ming is experiencing gender dysphoria but is finding it difficult to communicate to Tom that they are a trans woman and they want to start physically transitioning. This book follows their relationship journey over the course of a few years, through big life changes and turns.
Some laugh out loud moments and tear jerking moments. A gorgeous read 💕
