The book feels like a mirror to my soul. A reflection of so many variations of relationships I have had and so many that I want to have. The way that Nicola is able to hold people's pain side by side but in separation is awe-inspiring. This book felt like a slap in the face, pushing my hands a little closer to the fire that I probably would have liked and also like a constant and consistent warm hug of humanness throughout the whole book.

I saw myself reflected in so many of the decisions, the failures, the successes. This book feels like it captures the way that I want to relate and shows me that I doesn't have to be done by perfect, completely thepised, fixed humans, just ones brave enough to show their bellies
