4.5 this was an absolute delight! The miscommunication troupe did get a little annoying towards the end but I did find these characters really endearing and listening to their accents on audio was a fun plus. Definitely recommend reading this around Christmas time!

I wasn't sure about this during the first couple of chapters but it pulled me in and I got invested. I thought the characters were fun and the tension and character motovations were understandable and believable. I loved how they wound each other up and I loved uncovering the stories of the rings.

This was a good book! I’ve been reading a lot of mysteries lately so in comparison to those I did feel like the plot was very guess-ble lol like yes of course they got together and the note was mixed up and the ring was going to come back around to a proposal between them. But also the writing was really good and it didn’t feel cheesy, which it def easily could have! It was a nice lighthearted read and lots of yearning throughout that kept the guessable non-mystery aspects at bay, with good plotlines. I will say my absolute least favorite plot line tho which this book did have is when there’s a whole big misunderstanding that could very easily be cleared up with communication but isn’t for eons. So that did annoy me. But otherwise good light read!
