Just some quick thoughts.
I really enjoyed the first two books. Crais started off great! I loved reading from Fury’s point of view and wanted more of that. Honestly, I was bummed when we switched back to Abigail’s POV.

That’s another thing. I’m kind of over Abigail and Lucy. They came off as self righteous and immature. Only they were allowed to be rude. I kept thinking, "somebody please shut them up." Especially Lucy. Abigail has become a bit of a Mary Sue and could do no wrong
Spoiler even when she screwed up big time. Oh! And she was so Rude and Mean to Lucas. It was seriously uncalled for. . I was so happy when
Spoiler Fury called them on their crap and went after Lucy. I agreed with everything she said and was cheering her on in the fight. *fist pump*

So, Fury basically saved this book for me.

Last of all, what happened to Brace’s character?? I don’t recognize him anymore. He acted like a caveman who lost his spark.
Spoiler I understand he found loooove, but did his personality have to disappear? I hate that. It’s one of my book pet peeves

I’m still going to keep reading because I want to meet the new characters. Hopefully, the other characters will grow up a bit.

And it just keeps getting better. Absolutely love Lucy and it was great getting a chapter from her POV.
This one moved a lot quicker than the previous books and some of the book was frustrating as the focus stayed too long on certain aspects (Bra-by) and not a lot on others (developing powers - clans - finding halflings). That could just be my penchant for action talking.
The battle for Brace was a bit too glossed over and convenient too.
Overall, still enjoying the series. The side characters made this book a lot more interesting. Love Colt - brilliant addition.

I'm writing this review almost four months after reading the book. So, understandably enough, I don't really remember much.
Let's see...
Abby found the third half walker, Fury, who's a snarky smartass. She's fun. And has a mate: Dune.
We met Colton, Brace´s bff. He's a wolf shifter and has a sister named Magenta. He's a big joker and a tease. Also he had some serious sexual tension with Lucy. I like where that's going.
Samuel (Abby's half brother) betrayed them all, which resulted in Brace being possessed by one of the Seventine. That wasn't very fun. Brace's dad, who was Abernath's princep and an evil a-hole got blown to bits (fun). To get Brace back, Abby made a deal with the Seventine who was possessing him and agreed to free the third Seventine.
And I think that's about it.
Oh, also, Lucas' dad died, so he's the emperor now.

another great installment. I'm so happy that I stumbled upon the series. Jaymin Eve will definitely be on my book watch list. I'm tired because i keep staying up too late devouring these books.
