Ok I give this book 3.5 stars. It’s not bad at all, I think I just got a bit lost sometimes. Especially the beginning - the reader is just kind of thrown into it. Think DaVinci Code meets Gossip Girl…love the international travel! Onto the second book soon.

A fast-paced teen/YA thriller with nonstop action and plenty of romance, too. I enjoyed the audiobook. Read my full review at:

Great series! Amazing characters, slow-burn romances, mystery, and the setting is in a bunch of super cool places!
Such a unique way to tie in history to the plot, very cool.
how fun! I remember nothing from reading this.

OMG OMG. I'm so happy that I took a chance and read this book. There will be a book review coming. (2020 me says lol no there isn't). Stellan was my love and I love the direction his character went. This book had a Elena/Stefan/Damon love triangle vibe from Vampire Diaries. Stellan was such a Damon with his sarcastic phrases and his whole role of protecting her. ughhhh this book was so good. Can't wait for the next one.

Ugh, maybe even 2 stars but that's probably just because I'm freshly mad about the ending. NOT EVERYTHING HAS TO BE A SERIES! This could be an average, predictable, but sometimes fun YA "thriller," but it chose the "why offer any conclusions when I can abruptly leave you hanging to force you to read the next one" school of endings.
That ending!
Now I'm so hyped for the next book.
So, thriller series. Pretty interesting. I wish it wasn't so typical YA though: dull girl who falls for the dull overprotective guy who has an awful generic name.
But now, I NEED her to end up with Stellan and so I'm gonna read the next book. It's pretty much all that matters to me.

I can see how kids would find this book exciting/engaging.
