I really really enjoyed this, it was a fun read and I can’t wait to get reading the second one!!
Very Ally Carter-esque (compare to Embassy Row specifically); action-packed with an edge of romance while preserving a strong, independent heroine. Logical high stakes that didn't make me want to roll my eyes; never a dull moment.
Hard not to make comparisons between this and things like the DaVinci Code, but it's fast paced and pretty interesting, leaves everything on a cliffhanger.
Really enjoyed this. It's fast paced, got sucked into the story since page one.
Mystery, Prada and Paris!!

Don't get me wrong, this was almost entertaining. Though maybe for the wrong reasons.
This book is very amateurish. Starting to the very cliché story, so predictable nothing at all surprises you. And with Google translate French, I mean I can deal with a not over the top story but at least have someone who actually speaks French check those parts for you, or don't attempt to write in French at all but if I with my base French can pick up the writer's beginner's mistakes it does get annoying. Very annoying.
That said, I do believe it will get better, so I will most likely pick up the next book.
As an afterthought. Stellan's eyes are blue with gold bits around the iris. Are you for real? I literally laughed out loud at that part. Couldn't the descriptions be any more ridiculous!

Read the french version. And I don't know if it's nostalgia, or I was super harsh the first time I read this book, but I've liked it better this time?
The only thing bad about this book is that I have to wait a year for the sequel! Loved it!!
So, I didn't like this book.
One.
Single.
Bit.
It could've started off so well, but instead, we have two creepy guys following Avery around, fighting over her at homecoming, and then Jack agreeing that she can go with the other dude because he'll see her anyway.
I mean, wtf.
I DNF @ 12% because I could literally already see a love triangle forming, a spoilt girl acting lost and being totally lost with the reader, and nothing like what I expected.
Zero stars for me.

at some point I had a real princess bride moment when I said "wait, is this a kissing book?". my adventure read had been very disrupted.
