Heaven Official's Blessing Vol.2 by Mò Xiāng Tóng Xiù is the continuation of Xie Lian and Hua Chang's story, focused largely on past events.
Thoughts while reading:
-It’s interesting to see Xie Lian in the past
-Qi Rong, the cousin, is a menace
-So, it was mentioned in the first book that Xie Lian told one of his followers who didn’t want to live to ‘live for me,’ and when it was revealed who it was, I was shocked
-That scene in the cave with the flower demons had a lot of tension
-I feel bad that Xie Lian has to struggle so hard against his ideals. And I can see why his presence made everything worse, despite his intents
I think I'm probably not as invested in the characters as I should be, so Xie Lian's past didn't hit as hard as it should have. The humour really helped me to enjoy Volume 1/2 but because of the seriousness of past events, it was largely absent here. I'd give it a 3 out of 5

‘Что ж, я объясню вам, что для меня страдание. Видеть, как человека, которого я люблю, унижают и втаптывают в грязь, но быть не в состоянии что-либо сделать. Самое мучительное - осознавать, что ты никто и ни на что не способен.’ - ну на этом моменте я померла конечно. Хуа Чэн всю книгу расшатывал мою нервную систему.
И вообще третий том был прочитан на одном дыхании, первые два у меня все таки как-то тяжелее шли. Надеюсь, наше прекрасное издательство не заставит долго ждать четвёртый том. Ну и кофильфо, конечно, продолжает блистать потрясающим изданием, для максимального уровня роскоши только цветного среза не хватает.
