Can’t go wrong with a good alien tale! Positives include a charming dog character, some pretty endearing characters in the book as whole (some that stay with us to the end; others visited for fleeting moments in diners and such) and some extremely dislikeable characters too, for good reason.
However, I felt the ending was lacklustre and didn’t really match the atmosphere of the rest of the book. I also thought the separately told perspectives took a little too long to become intertwined, leaving me impatient for some resolutions and feeling like the first half of the book could have been cleaved in length. All the same, thoroughly enjoyed!

So I have no idea where to begin. Let's just say this book is beyond bizarre. Time switches, aliens, shape shifting, it a book that will certainly surprise you, for better or worse. I did not finish reading this because I simply couldn't stand it anymore. If you are bored and want to be tossed through the wash then this one is for you.

Wow, this novel took me to places I hadn't imagined. Dean Koontz tells us of two different plots in this book. Both plots kept me wondering what would happen next. If you enjoy unusual fiction with descriptive characters, I believe you would enjoy this book.

Love this book. I don't care its the Dean Koontz formula I don't care I already know the good guys are gonna win, its got great characters and the dialogue is brilliant even if no one in real life talks like that!

I like Dean Koontz for spine tingling terror (or something of the sort), but this; while not a “terror-ific” novel by any means, is quite possibly Koontz’s best ever. I laughed, I felt like crying, my heart raced and I breathed a sigh of relief at several points in the story. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a great read, scary or not.

I will admit that as a long time Dean Koontz's reader, I thought I already read this book, however, it appears that I did not and I am mad at myself for not reading this earlier because I really enjoyed this book.
Leilani and Curtis were without a doubt my favorite two characters in this book. I loved them both so much and I wanted to pluck them out of the book and keep them safe. I cheered and clapped for the adult heroes of this story because they were truly amazing people even though there were not super heroes in the conventional sense, they were to me because their hearts, morals and compassion and they didn't hesitate to step in and help a child in need.
The topic of this book scared the shit out of me because I know it is a real thing and it freaks me out knowing that there are real people out there like this..
A little long but in all in all good book.

I remember reading this book last year I'm not too sure if I finished it because I cannot find my notes, but I remember finding an only mildly interesting.
