After 3 books I still don't have an idea of what Zea or the other characters look like. I was left wanting more, it was ok but maybe not 3 books worthy.

Being the final book in the series disappointed me a little, it's not bad, but not as exciting as the other books.Zea Calico is an amalgamation of several heroines from other books of the genre ya.Overall was not an original series but it had a decent ending . They could have explored and further developed the prince's personality and his relationship with Zea in this story. A bit of quality time ...

DID NOT FINISH: 5%

Just couldn't push through a whole other book of frankly bad writing. You can't describe your MC getting hit viciously in the head every 5-7 pages for 1000 pages and expect me think she doesn't have catastrophic brain damage?

Really couldn't get into this as much as the first 2 in the series. I felt like there was too much focus on describing technology and Zea's torture and found myself losing interest. Enjoyed the last 30% way more than the rest of the book.

I found this storyline compelling, but had to come to terms that the heroine was only 16. You have to remember that Zea is only 16 and getting married to Prince Kevon. That makes me cringe a little when thinking about someone that young is the heroine. Then you have to remember that this is a dystopian society and think that our social norms are not what they are in the book.

What I liked best is that the ending was drawn out and not over in a a few pages. I don't like when the plot builds and builds, then deflates rather quickly. Zea just kept taking the hits and handling them like a true heroine.

Exactly like mockingjay in that it was slow, slow, show and then BAM everything happened at once. Not my cup of tea
