I really liked this one. I guessed most of the twists, but not all of them, and the pacing was really good. It really kept me interested.

Are you one of those people who likes to read about the latest celebrity gossip while standing in line at the grocery store? If so, you will most likely find this book entertaining. This is a juicy read that has several fun twists to it. However overall it did miss the mark for me. I loved Ellery Lloyd's first book, People Like Us, so I was very excited to read this one. The concept of the book is a great one and I enjoyed the format of alternating story with the newspaper article. Here is where it fell short for me - this book was too descriptive, had too many points of view and took too long for the story to get going. Now once it finally does, it's interesting and exciting. But the pace was too slow for me.

My thanks to Ellery Lloyd, Harper Collins and netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

DNF, but I still feel that I can leave a review because at 30% in, I think I had this books number. I was not remotely compelled to keep going to find out what happened. WAY too many characters with no distinct voices. The rich male boss is a jerk, shocker. The authors liked to use a lot of lists to describe what was happening. I felt like the first 30% of the book just droned on and on to “set the scene,” without any actual action. There were too many fake celebs to keep up with before all the members had even arrived at the resort. Did not care one iota to read on and find out who died.

Too many different story lines going on at the same time and not one of them particularly interesting. Several of the twists were pretty obvious.
